There were about 4 families dining, including mine. When a family went to leave, they found the door was locked. When they complained to the staff, what I assumed is the manager yelled at them that he was short staffed so he locked the door. He then yelled to the rest of us to let him know when we need to leave. When more guests tried to enter, he yelled at them drive thru only. I understand trying to navigate the shift with limited staff, but it is ILLEGAL to lock guests inside of a restaurant in Virginia. I could understand, IF there were no guests inside, locking the door and putting a sign up to notify people, but to be locked inside without being told we were and then being yelled at on top of that really just made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. We will not return to this location, but I hope this finds the right person to ensure it doesn’t happen this way to anyone else.
