There are two ways to peel a grapefruit:
Vertical
- Cut the tips of the fruit on both sides;
- Make longitudinal incisions in the skin, following the pattern of orange slices. Make the incisions 1. 5 cm deep;

Spiral cut
- Make a spiral cut along the entire grapefruit surface. Start above and finish below;
- Start the skin from the bottom;
- Start the skin throughout the circumference.
As the skin of this fruit is very thick, any peeled method requires applying strength. Once peeled, there is a white layer on the grapefruit. You must retire with your hand or with a knife.
Inside the fruit there are slices similar to those of mandarin, only than larger. In the upper part, you have to remove the place where the flower was. Each slice is wrapped in a dense membrane. It also retires. To do this, place the slice on a cutting table. Next, cuts are made with a knife along the narrow part. Next, the membrane starts with your hands.
